Job description

Who We Are

As one of the fastest-growing on-the-go drinkware companies in America, we’ve got a reputation for doing great things. Our vision is simple - bring delight to eating and drinking.

Delight is different to everyone. Whether it’s the perfect cup of coffee, or a water bottle that helps you crush your workout, our mission is to make it look great, function perfectly and cost less than you’d expect.

Delivering on this promise takes extraordinary efforts and exceptional people. Through our teams’ ingenuity and grit, we’ve created a place where the best ideas win, and they can come from anyone. Our culture combines the scrappy spirit of a startup with the perks of a market leader.

We believe the right way to design products starts and ends with two key ingredients: process + people. Process is the path that takes us from ideas to products that are on brand, on time and on budget. People are the secret sauce that adds ingenuity every step of the way.

Together, we navigate each day with optimism, curiosity, a healthy sense of humor and a strong allergy to the word “no.” This desire for better, coupled with a deep understanding of consumers’ daily lives, gets us to meaningful delight.

About the Role

Leapfrog is looking for a Logistics Associate to be a key player in seamlessly propelling our products from Point A to Point B! Dive into the dynamic world of logistics where you will not only learn the intricacies of our diverse product range but also collaborate across functions to launch exciting new products in multiple retail spaces. Reporting to the Manager of Operations, you will contribute to the entire lifecycle of importing our cutting-edge products from Asia to the US. Embrace the excitement of contributing to the success of our logistics operations and be part of a journey that delivers innovation to customers across the globe!

What You’ll Do

  • Streamline transportation activities from China to US warehouses, including crafting and executing container plans, coordinating movement of goods, and promptly reporting incoming shipments.
  • Collaborate closely with our factories to ensure accurate and timely shipment of orders.
  • Proactively track and trace inbound shipments, following up as needed to ensure timely deliveries. Effectively communicate any delays and update delivery schedules accordingly.
  • Ensure adherence to customer requirements, including product compliance, shipping, and invoicing.
  • Support inventory analysts in monitoring and maintaining optimal inventory levels to prevent sales disruptions caused by stock outages.
  • Skillfully manage shipment exceptions, prioritize shipments, and facilitate expedited deliveries when necessary.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of logistics, operations, and freight costs, investigating and reporting significant variances to budget.
  • Submit commercial and customs documentation for shipments in a timely manner.
  • Uphold quality standards throughout the entire logistics process.
  • Efficiently handle the reception and processing of invoices for transportation and customer-related costs.

Who You Are

  • 1+ years professional experience in a similar role, preferably in the logistics or import/export industry
  • Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail to ensure timely execution of projects and ability to set and prioritize goals with general guidance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workplace suites
  • A desire to learn and grow in a passionate environment. The ability to embrace transparency and shifting priorities while learning from each decision and focusing on the path forward
  • Bonus points for experience with Tableau Analytics Software, Oracle Netsuite
  • Bonus points for fluency in Spanish and/or Mandarin

Benefits at Leapfrog

  • 15 days Paid Time Off your first year, and an additional day each year thereafter, as well as company paid sick days, holidays and parental leave options
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as commuter benefits and additional voluntary benefits
  • Annual bonus payouts and up to a 5% 401k match for all eligible employees
  • Summer Fridays - from Memorial Day to Labor Day enjoy half days every Friday

Note: Leapfrog is currently operating under a hybrid work model, and this position will report on site to our Lincoln Park office at least 2 days per week. Please do not apply if you are not comfortable with a hybrid work model.
