Intern Focused on Process and Logistics ProjectsJob Overview
Assists Global Operations team with deployment actions centered around data management, obsolescence, returns, consumables and refurbishment processes for the global strategy of the spare parts program for the Global Field Operations organization.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assists with data management of spare parts; extending spare parts into respective GEOS plants where GFO operates.
  • Assists with data management of parts identified within the Return & Refurbishment process through SAP/UNITY. Designates, flags and extends local & depot "R-Parts" into SAP in all GEOS plants where GFO Operates.
  • Assists Core Process Group with the creation of documentation used for SOP's, Desktop Instructions and Playbooks currently under development.
  • Assists with data management of obsolescence with GEOS globally; blocking stock, demand new versions, return/scrap obsolete versions from stock system.

Qualifications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to work with internal Varian colleagues globally.
  • Experience with UNITY, SAP or other databases as an individual contributor is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and a detail orientation to coordinate and schedule necessary activities in the support of projects or programs as assigned.
  • Pursuing a BS/BA in a Program Management, Logistics disciplines is preferred.
  • Must be Fluent in English.
  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Business travel < 10%.

Must be local to Miami, FL or Delray, FL
