Tao Motor Inc is searching for a Logistics Assistant who will provide administrative and operational support to the Logistics Department. Must be able to maintain customer accounts, resolve internal and external customer issues. Must be able to analyze, track, trace, and correct freight billing. This position reports to the Logistics Manager.
Job Description and Responsibilities
- Provides administrative and operational support to the Logistics Team; including but not limited to a heavy volume of phone work, data entry, communicating effectively with clients, carriers, and peers.
- Communicate frequently with the Logistics team and or carriers to gather proof of delivery, bill of lading, invoices, and updates in order to close loads in a timely manner
- Consistently track and trace your freight movements from origination to destination and solve operational challenges
- Maintain contact with carriers and internal business partners to ensure the shipper and consignee are aware of any challenges or issues that may arise
- Utilize partner carriers truck lists and external load boards to assist with matching customer needs with carrier abilities
- Provide unmatched Customer Service through daily conversations with customers/carriers in order to build relationships and serve their needs
Administrative Assistant Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Effectively communicate both verbally and written
- Answer and route multiple calls while staying on task
- Investigate customer concerns and solve them in a timely manner
- Work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary internal and external customer service
- Work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Experience and Education required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent computer skills including all Microsoft Office products
- 2+ years experience in an Administrative/Customer Service role
- Previous logistics or call center experience a plus
- Bilingual preferred (English and Chinese)
Type of Position: Full Time
Hours: Monday through Friday 9:00 to 6:00
