Locums – Williamsburg, Virginia, OB/GYN Hospitalist Opening

  • 12- or 24-Hour Shifts: 24hr Time
  • 4, 24hr. shifts per block needed to be filled
  • Starts August 2024 and is for 9 months
  • Root cause for opening req: New Program Start
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Will take Truly Board Eligible and Board Certified
  • COVID vaccine required, or the site will allow exemption
  • NICU Level: II – with Special Care Nursery
  • Expected patients per day: 5
  • Total Hospital Deliveries (monthly avg.): 804
  • Estimated Deliveries for Hospitalists (monthly): 27
  • Estimated Patient Encounters for Hospitalists (not including deliveries) (monthly): 70
  • Have Consulting MFMs – Plan on bringing in a virtual model next year
  • In-house Anesthesia
  • Hospitalists to Provide GYN Coverage: emergent only
  • Hospitalists Required to Perform Circumcisions on an as needed basis
  • Hospitalists Needed for First Assist when available
  • First Assist Available to the Hospitalists
  • Hospitalists do not Backup midwives
  • Hospitalists do not backup Family Practice
  • 2nd responder available for emergencies
