We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Tenens Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. You will play a critical role in providing exceptionalmaternal-fetal care to our patients. This position offers you the opportunityto work in a dynamic and supportive environment while enjoying a flexibleschedule with a mix of 24-hour coverage shifts and in-house shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide 24-hour coverage shifts in Labor &Delivery, managing obstetric emergencies, assisting with deliveries, andoverseeing the care of laboring patients.
· Perform postpartum rounds, provide comprehensivecare to recently delivered mothers, and address any postpartum issues orconcerns.
· Offer consultation services to pregnant patientsadmitted to the hospital, including the evaluation of high-risk pregnancies andthe management of pregnancy complications.
· Collaborate closely with the OB/GYN team,nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patientcare and safety.
· Participate in educational initiatives fornursing staff, residents, and medical students as applicable.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date patientrecords, including electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
· Contribute to quality improvement and patientsafety initiatives within the OB department.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Active and unrestricted state medical license in Arizona.
- Proven experience in labor and delivery and postpartum care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make critical decisions under pressure.
