Job Description
Seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to joinour team at our healthcare facility in Colorado Springs. As a Neonatal NursePractitioner, you will provide specialized care to premature and sick newbornsin our Level III NICU and newborn nursery. The successful candidate will workcollaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare providersto ensure high-quality care and improved health outcomes for our patients.
Compensation: $80.00Per Hour
Responsibilities:
· Conducting physical assessments of newborns inthe NICU and newborn nursery, including obtaining and interpreting medicalhistories, performing physical examinations, and ordering and interpretingdiagnostic tests.
· Developing, implementing, and evaluating plansof care for premature and sick newborns, in collaboration with physicians andother healthcare providers.
· Administering medications and treatments asordered, and monitoring and managing their effects.
· Providing education and counseling to parentsand families on the care and needs of their newborns, including discharge planningand follow-up care.
· Participating in daily rounds andmultidisciplinary care conferences to discuss patient care and progress.
· Maintaining accurate and complete medicalrecords and documentation, in compliance with facility and regulatoryrequirements.
· Collaborating with other healthcare providers toensure safe and effective patient care.
Certification Requirements:
· Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
· NRP Certification
· Colorado State License
· Additional License Requirements:
· UCV, UAV, Intubation, and Circs certification(or willingness to be proctored)
