• Inpatient on call 1 week in 5
• Mon - Mon
• 7a - 7a
• Sept 2 @ 7:00 am – Sept 9 @ 7:00 am
• Oct 14 @ 7:00 am – Oct 21 @ 7:00 am
• Oct 21 @ 7:00 am – Oct 30 @ 7:00 am
• Nov 22 @ 7:00 am – Dec 2 @ 7:00 am

Clinical Details

• Number of Physicians in Department: 4 Gastroenterologists; 5 Colorectal Surgeons
• Patient Population Mix: 100% Adult, Geriatrics
• Average Number of Cases per day: Inpatient rounding: up to 40 patients on services with avg of 10-11 consults per day
• Level I Trauma Center
• Number of Beds: 489
• Inpatient rounding, endoscopy, and calls through the full week of coverage. Consult service – not primary admitting. After hours transfer calls, lower and upper endoscopy for urgent needs

Requirements

• BC or Truly BE in Gastroenterology
• Active IL License - Preferred
  • willing to accept IMLC
• ACLS Certification
• Clean malpractice/background - Highly Preferred
• Proof of Covid vaccine
• DEA & CS
• Procedures Required: Colonoscopy and EGD

Call

• Overnight/Weekend/Transfer calls avg 10-11 procedures per weekend
• 24 hour call

Support Staff

• 5 dedicated APP for inpatient service; 7 days a week APP inpatient coverage (2-3 per weekday and 1 on weekend)
