Locums Endocrinology Need in Iowa

Coverage Needed

• July 1, 2024 - ongoing
• 6+ month assignment

Schedule

• Mon - Fri: Clinic only
• 8a - 5p, 1 hour unpaid lunch

Clinical Details

• Need to be able to see new patients and follow ups
• At least 12 patients per day
• No procedures
• Stand along cancer treatment center nearby, so cancer patients can be referred there for specific cancer treatments, but would follow up with endo for ongoing care
• Full spectrum on endocrinology
• Also do bone density in this clinic
• Must be willing to prescribe anti-obesity meds (phentermine, Topamax, wegovy, etc.) along with the following patients (via labs and/or visits) for drugs such as methimazole and levothyroxine
• A lot of diabetic patients
• Have diabetic educators that can assist with education and sensor downloads
• Diabetes, cushings, graves, hyperthyroidism, parathyroid carcinoma, adrenal cancer, thyroid cancer

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of training)
• Active IA License
• BLS or ACLS
  • willing to obtain
• Must be local (no flights)
• Iowa Medicaid enrolled - Preferred
• Must be available full time

• Epic
