Locum Tenens - Hospitalist - Obgyn - Mo - $280/Hr

Job description

Schedule:

All shifts will be 12 or 24 hour shifts, 7a-7p or 7a-7a.
Weekend shifts are: 6 am to 3 pm; 2 pm to 11 pm; 10 pm to 7 am
If someone wants, they can do a double shift (16 hours) but we do not
Schedule 24 hours.
9 hour shifts in house (2 shifts in a 24 hour period can be requested/accommodated)
They cover inpatient OB as well as inpatient GYN consults on the floor and in the ER.
There is no outpatient coverage (ie clinic)

Details:

Patients per shift: 9 max scheduled cases/day (not including unscheduled patients who are admitted) – 3 cases night shift, 6 cases day shift
Beds in Department: 12 LDR + 3 low intervention rooms (midwifery)
# of RNs: Days average 7-9 floor nurses (plus 1 charge, 2 triage RN’s), Nights average 5-6 floor nurses (plus 1 charge, 2 triage RN’s) – this number drops by about 1-2 nurses on weekend due to lower case-load
# of MAs: We don’t have MA’s, but we have OB Assistants (3 on days, 2 on nights) and Surgical Technicians (3 on days, 2 on nights)
# of PA/NPs: 4 midwives that care for patients – collaborate with physicians with increased in level of care situations
Trauma Level of the Facility: 1
EMR: Epic
Inpatient
What are the average number of deliveries per year?: 2500
