Locum Tenens Opportunity: Gastroenterologist

Location: GI of Alton, outpatient office with GI labs at Alton Memorial Hospital

Coverage Period: Approximately March 16 to June 16, with potential for extension

Reason for Coverage: Maternity leave for a current provider

Schedule:

• Procedures scheduled 3-4 days per week, from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM
• Call schedule: Two weeks per month, managed one week at a time

Onsite Facilities:

• Lab and X-ray available within the same campus

Patient Care:

• Requires management of both outpatient GI and IM procedures
• Patient Volume: 12-14 patients per day

Team Composition:

• Three physicians in the group; one on maternity leave starting March 16 and another retiring at the end of April

EMR: EPIC

Procedures Required:

• ERCP
• Lower GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy
• Small bowel biopsy
• Upper GI endoscopy including biopsy, foreign body removal, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures
