Supports Locksmith in servicing, installation, repairs, manufacturing and keying of all types of locks as well as related hardware currently in use within the Medical Center. Makes modifications to doors, door jams, windows etc., when necessary. Repairs and maintains all fire doors.
Supports Locksmith in manufacturing and installation of locks and keys in order to operate and maintain master system for all Medical Center buildings when and/or if necessary. Installs narcotic locks on medication rooms.
Completes inventory of all locks, closers, panic hardware, and keys. Provides locksmith with inventory list for ordering parts. Assists with the installation of electric strikes and door closers; installs and repairs fire check closets.
Supports Locksmith in repairs and installs electronic locking devices. Enters data to Locknetics magnetic locks.
Performs general repair to building and equipment as requested by Facilities.
Call In availablity in case of emergency outside of normal operation hours, weekends and holidays
Completes daily time report at end of shift.

OTHER JOB DUTIES
Keeps sufficient stock and supplies on hand in order to meet demands.
Installs and services DADCO-type door alarms on doors as required.
Secures portable equipment to prevent its theft.
Maintains and services departmental equipment.
Records all job activities maintains appropriate files.
Responds to all fire alarms during shift in order to assist in the opening of doors, locks etc.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in education programs, current literature review and workshops.
Performs other related duties as required.
BASIC COMPETENCIES
Education/Licensure:
High school diploma or equivalency.
Experience:
1-3 Years basic electrical mechanical experience
Skills:
Good interpersonal skills.
Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position.
