Men’s Locker Room Attendant

POSITION SUMMARY: Men’s Locker Room Attendant

· Ensures the cleanliness and proper presentation of men’s Locker Room for members and their guests.

· Locker Room Attendant must possess the ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain excellent service standards with members and their guests.

· They must have excellent listening skills and an eagerness to provide excellent service.

· This person must be flexible in meeting the varying scheduling needs of the Club and may be required to work additional hours than scheduled, if necessary.

· The Men’s Locker Room Attendant must be neat and well-groomed in accordance to Shoreacres member standards.

· Our staff members are team players who work effectively with co-workers and other departments to support and maintain a level of excellence in service for the members and their guests.

· It is the responsibility of all staff to provide a warm, friendly environment creating a world class experience for our members and guests.

· This position requires a highly self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision and interact with members at a high-level.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· To arrive well-groomed and on-time and dressed in the appropriate uniform.

· Provide shoe-shining services.

· Collect and wash soiled lined in laundry room.

· Responsible for cleaning - showers, toilets, sinks, mirrors, countertops, and more.

· Maintain inventory of towels, toiletries, Locker Room and cleaning supplies.

· Responsible for cleaning – Locker Room areas at the Grille Room

· Vacuums floor surfaces in entire clubhouse and men’s Locker Room.

· Assist with daily banquet setup/reset.

· Clean/sweep veranda and patio.

· Clean/sweep front entrances, as well as, pick up trash from parking lot and surrounding areas.

· Lockers dusted and cleaned.

· Maintain updated list of lockers.

· Must treat all Members, Guests, and Staff Members with respect.

· As well as other tasks that may not be listed.

REQUIREMENTS

· Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

· Must be able to climb stairs and carrying items weighing 50-75 pounds.

· Good communication is important, as is being able to follow directions efficiently and meeting the physical demands of the job.

· Must be able to clearly communicate Member needs to other Staff Members.

· Ability to Stand 6-8 Hours at a time.

· A positive attitude while on the job is also essential.

EDUCATION

A High School diploma is preferred, but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

The ability to speak English is necessary to converse with our members and guests. Proper diction is valued to maintain the ambiance of high level service to our members. The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, members and the general public is important.

REASONING ABILITY

It is necessary to have the ability to solve practical problems that may arise. Our staff members must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Staff Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Duties:
- Clean and maintain assigned rooms and common areas in accordance with established standards and procedures.
- Make beds, change linens, and replenish towels and amenities.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries and paper products.
- Remove trash and empty wastebaskets.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.

Experience:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
