```Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a Local Driver to join our team. As a Local Driver, you will be responsible for transporting construction materials on flaatbed trailers to various locations within a designated area. This is a great opportunity for individuals with a minimum of two years commercial driving experience who enjoy being on the road and providing exceptional service.
Duties:
- Safely operate and maneuver different types of vehicles, including tanker trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds, and roll-off trucks
- Load and unload materials and equipment as required
- Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to maintain a safe driving record
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working order
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant information
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (Tanker, Dump Truck, etc.)
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role
- Familiarity with local roads and routes within the designated area
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed
- Experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus
