Wurth Baer Supply Company, one of the nation's premier distributors to the woodworking industry, is seeking a reliable and responsible Driver - CDL Class A to support our Indianapolis, IN facility and product delivery operations.

You will help load the company truck and transport Wurth Baer Supply products to customers when needed. The cargo consists of cabinets, hardware, wood/laminate, and lacquer/finish. You will use an app via a company-provided cell phone to plan your route. As one of the most often seen representatives of the Company, you will conduct yourself in a positive and friendly manner and provide quality service with each delivery. When needed, you will assist with general warehouse operations (receiving, picking, etc.).

An essential function of this role requires employees to lift and lower packages that may weigh up to 70 pounds. Attention to safety is vital, the use of proper lifting and lowering techniques should be used at all times (adjust your body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, and pivot). You may also need to become accustomed to the fluctuating temperatures in which you will perform your duties. As this position is customer-facing, an excellent customer focus attitude is critical for success.

Driver Schedule, Stops, and Vehicle:

Drivers will be expected to complete their daily route. You will start at 6am Monday-Friday using a 48-foot Curtain Side Truck with a 10-speed manual transmission. Days usually end around 2:30pm or 3pm. Drivers average 8 to 10 daily stops and about 250 daily miles serving most of IN. On average, drivers at this branch work 44-50 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• A valid CDL Class A
• 2+ years of experience driving manual transmission 10-speed Tractor Trailer is a plus
• A clean driving record for the past three years in all states where licensed
• Pass a medical examination for commercial driver fitness and obtain the required medical card in compliance with 49 CFR 391.43
• Pass a pre-employment screening for DOT controlled substances, in compliance with 49 CFR 40 and 49 CFR 382.
• Previous warehousing experience preferred
• Good problem-solving skills
