Job Title: Short Haul Over-the-Road Driver
Department: Warehouse
Reports To: Distribution and Logistics Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary: Responsible for the pick-up and delivery of products, paying close attention to safety and quality while performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Operates the tractor trailer in strict compliance with all DOT regulations.*
2. Delivers loads to stores on schedule.*
3. Picks up loads from other Pepsi facilities.*
4. Inspects truck and trailer, pre and post trip, following DOT regulations.*
5. Responsible for the condition of the truck and trailer, looking for any malfunctioning parts.*
6. Inspects cargo to ensure it's loaded correctly.*
7. Reviews all the necessary shipping documents.*
8. Ensures all invoices and paperwork are correct, including both quantity and pricing.*
9. Informs management of any and all issues.*
10. Jockeys trailers in the evening once or twice a week.*
11. Washes tractor on days when there is no load for that day.
12. Travels to stores and retrieves missing documents.
13. Helps load and unload trailers on occasion.

Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Training: Minimum of two years verifiable tractor trailer experience
Certificates and Licenses: • Must have current Class A CDL license with air brake endorsement• No more than 1 moving violation in the previous twelve months• No more than 2 points on driving record• No license suspensions or DUIs within the last three years
