This position performs lobby beverage serving activities with primary responsibilities to includegreeting guests; making suggestions regarding food and beverages; taking and delivering orders; mixing alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks; serving food and/or beverages; checking regularly for guests’ needs; answering any questions or concerns; setting and breaking down service area, and collecting payment for all items served.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greets guests; takes guests’ orders, serves food and/or beverages; thoroughly knowledgeable on the menu and beverages while maintaining company service standards.
- Ensures orders entered correctly in POS system.
- Continually refreshes tables through crumbing and refolding napkins, as well as replacing soiled flatware. Clears dirty wares from tables, replaces soiled table linens and sets tables.
- Transports dirty dishes/glassware, etc. and places items into proper cleaning receptacles.
- Ensures the cleanliness and organization of designated work areas. Stocks/replenishes an adequate supply of product and equipment based on expected business volumes and completes set up and break down duties.
- Requests proper identification from guests purchasing alcoholic beverages when legal age is questionable (under the age of 30).
- Complies with company, local, state, and national regulations pertaining to food quality, cleanliness and sanitation standards, alcohol service, and safety.
- Completes all other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- At least 3-6 months related experience in a high-volume, high energy, food and beverage environment.
- Availability to work weekends as needed.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to position self to move about.
- The employee frequently is required to operate and use server station tools and equipment; and communicate with guests, employees, and management.
- The employee must move up to 30 pounds frequently.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Alcohol service certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
