Loan Processing Clerk

JOB SUMMARY

Mercer Savings Bank, a local community bank offering loans, deposit products and services in Mercer and Darke Counties, has an opportunity for a Loan Processing and Servicing Clerk. The primary requirements of this job is performing routine and intermediate duties related to processing loan applications and servicing loans. Provide support to loan officers and lending staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Input customer information, gathered by loan officer, into loan software system to generate an application and produce disclosures for the customer to sign.
• Work with loan officer in gathering customer documentation needed to complete application.
• Be a secondary contact with the customer when loan officer is unavailable/out of the office.
• Work with loan officer in making sure all documentation needed for loan approval is in file and updated.
• Work with loan officer in preparing loan for approval.
• Prepare closing documents and disburse loans
• Be knowledgeable in all areas of processing loan applications and compliance.
• Keep loan file in compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
• Work with the indirect lending area in processing vehicle loans.
• Take phone calls, give loan rates and answer basic questions, in the absence of a loan officer.
• Willingness to support other areas of processing/servicing department, as needed.
• Promotes business for the bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate personnel for new services.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
