Position Summary
The Loan Operations Specialist II is responsible for maintaining, coordinating, reviewing, funding, billing, and processing consumer and commercial loans.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide back-up to Loan Operation Specialist I responsibilities.
- Duties include some or all of the following on a periodic basis:
- Fund and board new loans and modifications which include but not limited to collateral records, codes, payment schedules, customer information, file maintenance and retention.
- Quote proper and accurate payoffs for customers and title companies.
- Review funded or modified documents which includes the ability to read and interpret terms and standard loan document verbiage.
- E-record loan documents and mail out checks/documentation to add the Bank’s lien to the collateral securing the loan.
- Process loan payments, payment corrections, payoffs, and refunds.
- Non-revolving and Line of credit processing include but not limited to preparing draw packets, ordering inspections, and working directly with inspectors, funding draw requests and work with loan officers with providing or gathering information.
- Process escrow disbursements and review escrow analysis statements.
- Review and update loan reports and logs.
- Monitor assigned group emails and phone calls.
- Handles complaints from customers and taking the appropriate action in order to resolve the complaints, Supplies customer needs and problems to higher specialists or management for unresolvable situations.
- Obtain all items needed to keep SBA loan files in compliance such as payments, notices, SBA reporting forms, and ensure all these documents are current and accurate.
- Service government insured loans (FHA, VA, USDA) which includes but not limited to remitting payments, monthly reporting’s, loss mitigation and foreclosure.
- Understands and agrees to abide by the policies and procedures established by Susser Bank.

Education and Experience Required
- High School diploma or GED, some college preferred.
- One to three years of job-related experience, preferably in the financial industry.
Skills and Abilities Required
- Strong attention to details and accuracy, organization and analytical skills, good time management and excellent follow up skills. Responsive to requests and timely completion of tasks.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications preferred (Teams, One-Drive, Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and exemplary customer service.
- Basic knowledge of post-closing loan servicing.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
