Loan Operations

First Southern Bank is seeking to hire a Loan Operations associate desiring to join a growing community bank that is committed to the highest level of customer service.

Summary. Provides support to the Loan Operations department. Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties. Has contact with loan officers and external contacts regarding Loan Operations.

Essential Functions.

• Receive incoming mail and research customer accounts to match mail.
• Scan documents in Director, index documents in Director to Precision and verify all documents have flooded to Precision.
• Reset Ticklers to reflect the expiration date of scanned documents.
• File all scanned documents in the File in the Vault.
• Run weekly Tickler Reports for expiring Hazard Insurance, Flood Insurance, UCC, Deed and Flood Determination.
• Force Place, renew and cancel Hazard Insurance and Flood Insurance.
• Renew or cancel Flood Determinations.
• Verify insurance renewals by calling or emailing Insurance Agencies.
• Monitor email for incoming request from Loan Officers.
• Run monthly reports for new, renewed and paid out loans.
• File Notes for new and renewed loans in Vault.

Additional Responsibilities.

• Performs other duties, as assigned.

Required Skills and Training.

• Interpersonal skills to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with customers, external contacts and other employees.
• Good knowledge of Bank Products and Services.
• Successful completion of online training and any other compliance training deemed necessary by the Bank.
• Have knowledge and abide by Bank Secrecy Act Laws and regulations.

Education and Experience.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in Loan Operations is preferred.

Physical Requirements.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
