Position Summary:
Develops loan applications by evaluating applicant information and documentation and matching them with appropriate residential loan program. Provide courteous and cooperative support to customers from the opening to closing of their loan.
Requirements:Duties/Responsibilities:
Essential duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Interviews applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans.
- Evaluates loan applications and documentation by conforming credit worthiness.
- Work closely with Processor to determine conditions for loan approval
- LO is responsible to collect and prepare all materials needed to secure mortgage loan by informing applicant of additional requirements or erroneous information.
- Justifies and communicates decisions (approvals/denials) to applicants and report on them.
- Counsel’s clients on policies and restrictions.
- Maintains and keeps all records confidential.
- Keeps own NMLS licensing updated; participates in educational opportunities and supports own professional growth.
- Develops referral networks and builds and grow own clientele database.
- Operates in compliance with laws and regulations and adheres to lending compliance guidelines.
