Loan Analyst

Summary

The Loan Analyst, Ops is responsible for preparing loan files for underwriting review. The Loan Analyst will be responsible for determining that all borrower documents and third-party documents meet agency and Freedom Mortgage guidelines.

Essential Job Functions:

• Review the appropriate credit, income, property, and asset documentation for VA and FHA cash out loans and conventional cash out and rate term loans
• Validate submitted information from the borrower is complete and accurate
• Validate that 3rd party documentation is complete and accurate including but not limited to: title, appraisal, insurance, credit supplements.
• Communicate accuracy of documents in O.S by updating appropriate fields.
• Enter detail comments in OS.
• Run PredProtect.
• Run DU or LP and be able to resolve errors
• Run and review FraudGuard.
• Scan applicable checklists into EDMS.
• Communicate with other departments additional needs to receive final approval from underwriting.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Education and/or Experience:

4 year college degree preferred or 1 to 2 years previous experience in a mortgage environment . Must be able to work independently or as part of a team in a high-paced environment. Working knowledge of MS Office skills required.
