Loader Operator (Seasonal) - Kuparuk Support Services - Warehouse
JOB SUMMARY
The Loader Operator will operate Front-end Loaders with forks, bucket, stinger, snow pusher, scratcher, and other implements to lift, load, and unload materials and equipment as well as move soil, gravel, snow, construction supplies, and other materials as needed. The Loader Operator is responsible for performing daily walk-around inspections of equipment, load inspections, and properly secure equipment weighing up to 125,000 pounds. Inspect all load-securing devices. Other duties may be assigned as business needs require, including occasional roustabout duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Operator will operate Front-end Loaders w/ forks, bucket, stinger, snow pusher, scratcher, and other implements to lift, load, and unload materials and equipment as well as move soil, gravel, snow, construction supplies, and other materials as needed.
• Loading and offloading pipe will be a major component of this position and previous experience is highly desirable.
• Snow removal will be a duty of this position and previous experience is desirable.
• Will be required to work outside in cold and adverse weather conditions.
• Prepare, update, and maintain logs, records, and equipment maintenance schedules.
• Monitor equipment operation and identify malfunctions.
• Occasionally rig and/or provide hand signals for other operators as well as other roustabout duties.
• Actively participate and promote all safety processes.
• Inspect, adjust, and perform minor equipment repairs.
• Prepare and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Clean, store, and maintain equipment as required.
• Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
• Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Class A or B CDL required.
• Current DOT Medical Card required.
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience operating Front-end Loaders with forks required.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience handling drilling materials, tubulars, pipe, palletized material, and other construction materials required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to work 80.5 - 84 hours a week on a 2x2 or 3x3 rotation required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• At least three (3) years' experience in the Oil and Gas industry, North Slope, and/or in Arctic Environment preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS
• North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification required.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE
While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have their own accommodations and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
A candidate must be able to meet the following non-exclusive requirements:
• Meet the AES Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy.
• Take and pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both UA and hair testing.
• Meet the physical requirements of this position including working in a remote location under arctic conditions.
• Required to take and pass a Fit-For-Duty Exam
• Required to complete and successfully pass a background check.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.
The availability of this position is contingent upon the Company's continued operational needs once training is completed.
