Loader Operator

Position Summary

This job has recurring work situations with occasional variations from the norm. Duties involve a high degree of complexity due to the nature of operating equipment and the potential danger involved. Duties are performed under direct supervision of the Wilsonville Site Manager with established procedures and guidelines. Errors in accuracy, judgment, and safety could mean fatality, equipment damage and wasted product affecting the smooth, efficient, and profitable operation of these companies, ultimately impacting the staff and management trust levels. Operates and maintains a variety of equipment in the gravel and crushing planet areas by performing the following duties:

Essential Function

• Responsible for quality control of both raw and finished materials,
• Performs visual inspection to select the correct product,
• Load the correct raw materials for blending and crushing,
• Load dump trucks for delivery,
• Must operate equipment in a safe manner at all times.
• Performs maintenance on equipment.

Secondary Functions:

• Pushes back product in the stockpile when unloading product.
• Push back product when blending.
• Clear property when needed for site prep.
• Must operate equipment in a safe manner at all times.
• Operate other pieces of equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical Aptitude desirable
• Ability to follow directions.
• Good eye hand coordination
• Requires 1 year of prior equipment operation.
• Prior industry or on the job experience
• Current certification to operate equipment.

Job Conditions & Physical Demand:

• Normal outdoor conditions for a Ready-Mix company
• May require hours that exceed 40 per week especially during peak business time
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to walk around the gravel and crushing plant areas.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist and foot motions operating equipment.
• Ability to kneel, bend, stoop, reach and lift performing maintenance on equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.17 - $25.50 per hour

• 8 hour shift
