*Hiring in advance for a position opening in June of 2024*
About Our Kennels
Traction Dog Training Club is opening the first and only dog boarding kennels in Austin, TX designed specifically to accommodate dogs who are aggressive, reactive, intact, working, or otherwise not suitable for standard boarding kennels.
Our contact-free kennels will use indoor/outdoor runs with externally controlled doors and one-way tinted plexiglass walls to keep all dogs healthy and happy without being handled by people or coming into contact with other dogs.
Information about our SoloStay kennels is at www.tractiondtc.com/solostay.
About the Position
Our kennels are contact-free, meaning dogs are not directly handled by people and we do not facilitate playgroups, so caregiving is relatively simple. Required duties include:
- Morning duties: clean kennels and feed dogs (1-2 hours)
- Evening duties: feed dogs (30-60 minutes)
- Other duties: receive drop-offs and pick-ups on site during the day
Compensation
The Kennel Caretaker will be provided a gated and furnished house to live in, on site. Located right outside Austin, Texas. Bringing family and/or your own dogs is fine.
You will also be provided an office inside the kennel building and are welcome to use it for your own purposes. The hours and light demand of this job are perfect for someone who works a part time or even full time job remotely.
Additional compensation opportunities will be available and may be determined as makes sense for the selected individual. Opportunities to transition to a full time position as Kennel Manager are expected in the future.
