Form of workPurpose/Scope:
- To transfer live birds from a moving conveyor belt to a moving shackle assembly line.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Pick up birds from a moving conveyor belt and hang by both legs on a moving shackle assembly line.
- Pick up live birds from the floor and put back on conveyor.
- Pick up and dispose of dead birds.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Use required PPE and follows all safety guidelines of the Company.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: (Required/Desired)
Skills & knowledge needed for the effective performance of essential job functions:
- Prior Live Hang experience (full time or part time) - Required.
- Able to hang birds properly by both legs.
- Good hand and eye coordination.
- Able to work at a quick, steady, and repetitive pace.
Physical requirements:
- Stand duration of shift - all scheduled hours.
- Workable use of both hands and able to grasp.
- Good eye sight (with or without corrective lens).
- Able to perform repetitive tasks.
- Able to reach, bend, push, pull, and stoup.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs. repeatedly.
Environmental conditions:
- Warm to hot temperatures, wet, dirty, and dusty environment.
- Dimly lit area.
- Moderate to loud sound levels.
