JOB DESCRIPTION

National Garden Service, founded in 2019, is a full-service, Live Goods merchandising company that provides exclusive outdoor floral services for The Kroger Company (and subsidiaries) nationwide. Our company is made up of enthusiastic plant lovers who thrive in a fast paced, seasonally driven environment. We are seeking candidates that are okay with a fluctuating start date and hours throughout the year.

Our Live Goods Merchandiser role is a good fit for those who are self-starting, plant and outdoor enthusiasts, who are available to begin work in the morning. We service the stores daily and are in the stores Monday-Saturday during high season.

This position will service the following Kroger location(s):

• #838-1161 E. Dayton Yellow Springs Rd. Fairborn, OH
• #829-1700 W Park Sq. Xenia, OH

As a Live Goods Merchandiser, your workday will include:

• Receive and stage a variety of outdoor plants, including Christmas trees, wreaths and other assorted, seasonal products
• Build and maintain product displays
• Water all plant materials (spring-fall)
• Develop a watering plan with the floral department manager for additional support as needed (spring-fall)
• Keep product neatly organized
• Ensure proper signage is in place
• Maintain a safe and clean display area
• Remove and record expired plant material
• Interacting with store personnel and customers
• Develop a positive working relationship with store management and associates
• Complete report for each store serviced
• Document every visit using the Repsly app where available

As a Live Goods Merchandiser, you will be required to:

• Have a smart phone
• Have dependable transportation
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Lift, push and carry up to 30 lbs repetitively
• Understand and execute planograms
• Work outdoors in all elements
