The Opportunity

Join our dynamic team at Mills James as a Live Event Producer/Show Caller and bring unforgettable live experiences to life! In this pivotal role, you'll orchestrate a seamless production, managing every detail from show flow to live cues. Your expertise will ensure each event is executed flawlessly, leaving lasting impressions on our audiences. The Live Event Producer /Show Caller will be an experienced event manager with a keen eye for detail, quality management, video and live theater production experience, time management, and multiple team coordination.

Job Responsibilities
-Coordinate proposal development, which includes the creative vision, estimates, and any miscellaneous requirements falling outside Mills James' core competencies.
- Oversee the execution of LIVE EVENTs from pre-production through post-production, ensuring all elements align with the event's goals and requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to establish event objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Create and maintain comprehensive event run sheets, cue sheets, and scripts to ensure a seamless show flow.
- Call cues for audio, video, lighting, and stage management during LIVE EVENTs, ensuring a synchronized and timely execution of all show elements.
- Manage on-site production teams, including audio-visual technicians, stagehands, and talent, providing clear direction and support.
- Conduct pre-event rehearsals and technical run-throughs, addressing any issues to guarantee a flawless performance.
- Liaise with venue staff to confirm logistics such as load-in/load-out schedules, set-up requirements, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Source and coordinate with external vendors for equipment rental, set design, and other necessary services.
- Troubleshoot real-time technical or logistical issues working closely with the Production Manager, making quick decisions to resolve problems without disrupting the event.
- Monitor event progress, adapting the production as needed to accommodate unexpected changes or requests.
- Ensure all content, including visuals, audio, and multimedia, meets quality standards and is presented effectively.
- Process and reconcile event expenses.

Job Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Event Management, or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in LIVE EVENT production and show calling
- Strong technical knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and rigging equipment
- Proficiency in using event production and Office software.
- Demonstrated ability to create and read production scripts and cue sheets
- Proven direct management of creative content and brand vision for clients.
- Experience in stage management and coordination of live performances
- Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple elements of a LIVE EVENT simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with event staff, clients, and performers
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a live production environment
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Capacity to manage budgets and negotiate with vendors
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing a production team
- Ability to travel as needed for event locations
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards within the event industry
- A proactive problem-solver with a positive attitude and dynamic approach to challenges
-Valid driver's license required; may need to obtain a US Passport, if necessary.
