Job Description
AmLaw 100 law firm has an immediate opening for a Litigation Legal Assistant with at least 5 years of experience within a law firm setting. The position supports 2 partners and 2-3 associates in the firm's Denver office who specialize in complex commercial and environmental litigation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Prepare and format a variety of legal documents, including Table of Contents and Table of Authorities.
* E-File in state, federal, and appellate courts.
* Docketing/calendaring deadlines.
* Proofread correspondence, court filings, and other documents.
* Maintain document management system for assigned matters.
* Handle timekeeping entries for attorneys and assist with client billing.
* Run conflicts checks and open new client files.
* Schedule hearings, conferences, mediations, and other events.
* Assist with travel arrangements and generate expense reports.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* At least 5 years of law firm experience supporting multiple litigation attorneys.
* Experience e-filing in state and federal courts via CCES and CM/ECF.
* Knowledge of Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
* Strong computer skills and proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs.
* Excellent writing, formatting, and proofreading skills.
* Applicants must currently reside in the Denver metro area.
* Must be able to commute daily to the firm's office in downtown Denver.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 depending on experience.
