A Maine Law Firm is seeking an associate to join the firm. The ideal candidate will have between three and six years of experience in litigation, be admitted to practice in Maine, and demonstrate strong academic credentials and superior research and writing skills. Job responsibilities will include conducting legal research and discovery, drafting motions and pleadings, counseling clients, and representing them before state and federal courts, state agencies, and municipal boards. A successful associate will be willing to work with attorneys and staff at all levels, will have a strong client service ethic, and will be able to work independently. Curtis Thaxter also has a varied and robust corporate and transactional practice. An ideal candidate will be willing to work, as needed, on matters outside of litigation and assist the firm's real estate, utility, and employment practices.
