Our Exciting Opportunity
As a global company, with operations spanning more than 180 countries, Ericsson is involved in dispute related matters worldwide. Ericsson's Global Litigation and Disputes team (a unit within the legal department Group Function Legal Affairs & Compliance) leads, manages and coordinates the Ericsson group's most complex dispute related matters.
The type of matters handled by the team range from complex arbitration and litigation (primarily related to Commercial Disputes and Intellectual Property Rights) to government inquiries, criminal proceedings and disciplinary actions against employees. The work is performed on a global basis and in close cooperation with internal and external resources.
What you will do
  • Manage and coordinate a diverse worldwide docket of complex civil litigation, international arbitration, and dispute-related matters. Negotiate with government agencies relating to regulatory and criminal investigations. Advise regarding government inquiries, internal investigations and disciplinary actions against employees.
  • Provide internal advice and collaboration as dispute related matters are developing, assess cases, evaluate potential risk, and advise relevant Ericsson personnel on the appropriate course of action.
  • Handle internal administration related to dispute resolution activities, such as developing and improving internal policies, templates and other supporting materials, improving internal control and reporting systems and provide training for Ericsson staff.
  • Manage domestic and foreign outside counsel.
  • Support the preservation and collection of relevant data, the timely review and production of data, and the tracking of materials sought, collected and produced, as appropriate.

To be successful in the role you will bring the following qualifications
  • Top academic credentials from an [ABA] [UK/EU] accredited law school.
  • At least 10-12+ years of experience as a registered attorney.
  • Significant experience in handling regulatory and criminal investigations, government inquiries, internal investigations and disciplinary actions against employees, and/or international arbitrations, civil Litigation and administrative proceedings, as outside or in-house legal counsel, and preferably in an international context.
  • Experience with U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) matters and related follow-on actions and also in telecommunications is desirable.
  • The ability to understand sophisticated, groundbreaking technology.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and lead multiple tasks and activities as a team member.
  • The communication skills required to work with a diverse group of colleagues located around the globe.
  • The motivation to learn and improve internal processes and tools.

Your Pay:
The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
• Washington or New York: $240,200 - $360,200
• All other US locations: $222,400 - $333,600
Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.
