- NH Teacher Certification in Elementary Education or Early Childhood
- Strong knowledge of literacy and math instruction to help teachers solve instructional problems
- Understanding of the instructional reform they are helping teachers to implement
- Knowledgeable in using assessment to inform teaching
- Able to work effectively with teachers and be focused on a "hands-on" approach to instructional improvement
- Excellent group-facilitation skills and experience cultivating trusting relationships
- Highly organized, with ability to multi-task
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Help teachers align district standards with effective instruction and assessments
- Co-teach / model / observe lessons with feedback
- Support teachers in using assessment tools, provide training and oversee the organization of data analysis and student work samples
- Help teachers apply professional development activities to classroom instruction
- Have problem-solving conversations to discuss obstacles to student learning
- Create or acquire needed instructional resources and programs
- Share content knowledge and experience
- Plan necessary interventions for struggling learners
- Coordinate peer planning and collaboration and sharing of effective practices
- Lead professional discussions, study groups, and book studies
- Provide intervention services directly to struggling students in literacy and mathematics.
- Communicate with and provide resources for parents / guardians
- Work with volunteers and tutors
