Liquor Store Sales Associate Part Time

Meeting or exceeding sales targets while delivering exceptional customer service. Increase sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling and providing product knowledge to facilitate informed purchasing decisions. Continuously develop skills and knowledge to perform job responsibilities effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent (such as a GED).

2. Customer Service Skills:

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with customers.

· A friendly and approachable demeanor.

3. Product Knowledge:

· Basic knowledge of the products or services offered by the store.

· Willingness to learn and stay up-to-date on product information.

4. Sales Skills:

· A willingness and ability to sell products or services and meet sales targets.

· Basic understanding of sales techniques, including upselling and cross-selling.

5. Cash Handling Skills:

· Basic math skills for processing transactions, cash handling and giving correct change.

6. Computer Skills:

· Basic computer skills for operating cash registers and Point of Sale (POS) systems.

· Familiar with basic software applications, such as email and iPad.

7. Physical Stamina:

· Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require physical activity, such as lifting and restocking merchandise up to 25lbs.

8. Attention to Detail:

· Accuracy in handling cash, processing transactions, and inventory counts.

9. Teamwork:

· A willingness to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.

10. Dependability:

· Consistent attendance and punctuality.

· Reliability in fulfilling scheduled shifts and commitments.

11. Legal Eligibility to Work:

· Proof of legal eligibility to work in the country.

· Must be twenty-one (21) years of age to work independently in store.

12. Compliance with Store Policies:

· Willingness to adhere to store policies, procedures, and dress code.

13. Adaptability:

· Ability to adapt to changing work environments, tasks, and customer needs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $16.75 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
