The Production Packer A is responsible for stocking the line with packaging materials, the packaging of small pouch product into cases and the palletization of cases. They will perform production activities and operate production equipment in accordance with BRC requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), as well as all Illes SOP’s, Quality standards and time sequences.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Load materials and products into package processing equipment or finished cases.
- Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.
- Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances. Stack finished containers on pallets per specifications.
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards including package integrity and print.
- Under the direction of the Operator, start machines or equipment to begin production processes.
- Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify Operators of any malfunctions.
- Coordinate sample collection with QA with necessary information for testing.
- Remove products, machine attachments, or waste material from machines.
- Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually.
- Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plants and warehouses, by hand or using hand trucks or powered lift trucks.
- Pack and store materials and products.
- Clean and maintain equipment, using hand tools in accordance with health and safety standards
- Help production workers by performing duties, including monitoring palletizer performance, and issuing LPNs to finished product, supplying or holding materials or tools, cleaning work areas and equipment.
- Maintain appropriate and professional written and verbal communication.
- Ensure that food safety, legality, integrity and quality standards are maintained at all times.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.
- Regular attendance for scheduled shifts is a requirement of this position
Minimum Job Requirements:
EDUCATIONHigh School or Equivalent or the ability to obtain same within specified time.EXPERIENCENo experience necessary we will train. REQUIRED

PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to crouch and bend
- Ability to handle 55 gallon drums after training
- Ability to lift 100# with assistance
- Ability to lift 50# continuously
- Ability to stand continuously
- Ability to tilt over and pour out up to 500# with assistance
- Bend, stoop, climb, reach above shoulders, crouch, push and pull frequently
- Use feet, hands, wrists, arms, shoulders constantly.
- Work while standing on a 7-step ladder with rails.
