Linux / Python Developer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Linux Admin / Python Developer to join our IT team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our Linux-based infrastructure and develop and support Python software. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and is dedicated to ensuring the stability and performance of our systems.

Job Duties include:

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and servers
• Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning
• Troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolution
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to design and implement system enhancements
• Ensure security and compliance of Linux systems
• Perform routine audits of systems and software
• Create and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures
• Design and develop robust and scalable Python-based applications
• Write efficient, reusable, and testable code
• Perform code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Linux Administrator or similar role
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, etc.)
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, etc.)
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)
• Proven experience as a Python Developer or similar role
• Strong understanding of Python and its libraries/frameworks (Django, Flask, etc.)
• Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
• Solid understanding of software development best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Pay: $17.00 - $27.00 per hour
