Line Spooling and Rigging Specialist - Big Game Fishing

FISH Northeast is a family-owned, sports-specialty retailer in the Fishing Tackle business with a combined 9,000+ of retail space between our Plymouth and Marshfield retail locations, plus an online business at www.fishandtackle.com.

We have recently opened a large showroom dedicated to the Big Game Fishing department, and we support hundreds of customers each year with various rigging and spooling needs. We are looking to add resources to this department to continue to provide exceptional service to the offshore Big Game anglers of New England and beyond.

Job Overview

The Big GameSpooling and Rigging technician will report directly to the Retail Manager and will be responsible for most of the offshore Spooling and Rigging done in our shop on a daily basis. The tech will receive in-depth training from our co-owner/expert resource on exactly how to perform each step of the process. They will be expected to follow our process, track the workorder queue, and communicate with customers as needed. Attention to detail is a must. The tech will also be required to help on the retail floor at times- helping customers and pitching in with day to day tasks.

Preferences:

• Relevant experience with offshore fishing
• Relevant experience with Spooling and Rigging and/or a willingness and ability to learn
• An interest and appreciation for the products we sell and the customers we serve. We don’t need to hire an expert angler for this role, but having an interest and experience with Big Game Fishing and anglers is strongly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
