Job description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare for service
  • Prepare a variety of foods including meat, seafood, vegetables, and cold food items
  • Prepare sauces and garnishes for allocated station
  • Cover, label, date, and correctly store all food items as per safe food-handling procedures
  • Inform chef in advance of likely shortages
  • Prepare dishes to order
  • Set up sanitizer buckets and towels
  • Constantly check the equipment on the line to ensure there are no gas leaks
  • Temperature checks of all reach-in and walk-in coolers
  • Set up rubber floor mats at station
  • Tastings with team members
  • Restock reach-in coolers
  • Prep lunch boxes for oncoming rushes
  • Clean line equipment
    • Clean the grill
    • Clean the range
    • Clean the flat top
    • Wipe down rice warmers
    • Clean underneath equipment
  • Change foiling lining on top of ranges
  • Clean sinks of food debris and sanitize
  • Disinfect prep area surfaces
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Empty and wash sanitizer buckets
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High School/GED or higher education preferred
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in high-paced kitchen environment preferred
  • Knowledge in various cooking ingredients preferred
  • Familiar with the taste of authentic Korean food preferred

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop or kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Proper lifting, pushing and pulling techniques are required.
