The LIMS/ELN Program Manager is responsible for the strategy, design, development, and delivery of LIMS/ELN applications in support of all major aspects of the business.
This role will be building on and leading a LIMS/ELN Project Improvement Team according to our corporate values. The LIMSELN Program Manager will communicate cross-functionally and drive the Continuous Improvement efforts across LIMS/ELN products supporting all related operational functions The individual in the role will collaborate across business divisions / units to develop and execute against the team's vision, strategy, and roadmap.
The LIMS/ELN Program Manager facilitates a team effort of professionals consisting of managers and core team leads. Team composition includes employees (both direct reporting and matrixed) and third-party partners. The LIMS/ELN Program Manager is accountable for LIMS/ELN related initiatives delivering on some of the key value propositions related to the company ability maintain compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Screen LIMS/ELN Improvement ideas, submitted by users and determine whether to move forward with implementation or offer possible work around solution.
- Develop "Current State" Process Flow Maps, with appropriate cross-functional representation, for selected improvement ideas, including relevant data (e.g., lead time, processing time, task owner, # of team members, potential barriers, etc.) and develop "Future State" Process Flow Maps for potential improvement with cross-functional project team
- Consult industry subject matter expertise to gain insight into potential LIMS Improvement Direction
- Oversee writing, reviewing, approving, and managing the system change management plans including assuring system remains in a compliant state.
- Manage verification and/or validation and closure of LIMS/ELN Change Management Plan
- Lead, coach, mentor and encourage a team to build and deploy the best-in-class software to provide the best experience for our customers.
- Work for the team, make challenging tradeoffs on design based on business constraints, ensuring on-time deliverables and high-quality software.
- Work closely with business partners to develop LIMS strategy in support of overall business strategy and goals.
- Develop and implement an organizational structure supporting quality delivery in a cost-effective manner. This will consist of a mix of employees and delivery partners.
- Engage appropriately with vendors on development and management of licenses and subscriptions.
- Manage the development and delivery of Statement of Work (SOW) engagements with major external partners.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field required, master's degree preferred.
- Strong experience in analytical workflow in biopharmaceutical industry.
- Experience managing projects using internal and external labor (employees, contractors, and consultants).
- Proven background in large scale LIMS/ELN system project delivery, maintenance, and support.
- Capability to envision, architect and deliver quality integrated solutions in support of LIMS/ELN systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
- Track record of leadership and achievement of objectives through team effort.
- Ability to communicate highly technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification is a plus.
- Experience with BIOVIA LIMS/ELN system preferred
