Leidos has an opening for a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Administrator located in Fort Detrick, MD, working with the Enterprise Information Technology Project Management Office (eIT PMO). This position is contingent upon contract extension in the June 2024 timeframe.

What you will do
We are seeking a skilled LIMS Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the configuration, installation, training, testing, including writing test scripts, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of the LabVantage LIMS. Experience with research laboratory practices, policy, and regulations is highly desirable.
Your role and primary responsibilities:
- Configure and customize LabVantage LIMS components such as Biobanking, Consumables Management, Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN)/Laboratory Execution System (LES), Array Management, Request Management, and Reports to meet the specific requirements of our research laboratories.
- Utilize tools like LabVantage LIMS Designer and Configuration Console to tailor these components according to the laboratory workflows and data management needs.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain LabVantage LIMS software and related components, including those specific to Biobanking, Consumables Management, ELN/LES, Array Management, Request Management, and Reports.
- Provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to end-users on the utilization and optimization of LabVantage LIMS components, ensuring efficient adoption and adherence to best practices.
- Develop detailed test scripts to validate the functionality and performance of Biobanking, Consumables Management, ELN/LES, Array Management, Request Management, and Reports modules.
- Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for these specific components, working closely with stakeholders to address feedback and ensure alignment with user requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate LabVantage LIMS components with other laboratory systems and applications, facilitating seamless data exchange and interoperability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Biobanking, Consumables Management, ELN/LES, Array Management, Request Management, and Reports functionalities within LabVantage LIMS.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to laboratory information management, with a focus on advancements in Biobanking, Consumables Management, ELN/LES, Array Management, Request Management, and Reporting capabilities.
Basic Qualifications & Skills:
- U.S. citizenship required or verified permanent residency. Must be able to complete a NACI background investigation.
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field and 8-12 years of prior related experience, or Master's degree with 6-10 years of prior related experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Proven experience as a LabVantage LIMS Administrator or similar role, with specific expertise in configuring and customizing Biobanking, Consumables Management, ELN/LES, Array Management, Request Management, and Reports modules.
- Strong understanding of laboratory processes and workflows, particularly in the context of Biobanking, Consumables Management, ELN/LES, Array Management, Request Management, and Reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in utilizing LabVantage LIMS Designer, Configuration Console, and other relevant tools for component-specific configuration and customization.
- Experience with installation, upgrade, and maintenance of LabVantage LIMS software, including expertise in managing the specific components mentioned above.
- Ability to develop and execute comprehensive test scripts for functional and integration testing of Biobanking, Consumables Management, ELN/LES, Array Management, Request Management, and Reports functionalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to train end-users and facilitate effective collaboration with stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment, with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions and support services.
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
- Knowledge of U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command customers, processes, and guidelines.
- LabVantage LIMS certification, particularly with specialization in Biobanking, Consumables Management, ELN/LES, Array Management, Request Management, or Reporting modules.
- Familiarity with laboratory automation and instrument integration technologies, enhancing the interoperability of LabVantage LIMS with laboratory equipment and systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards such as FDA, ISO, and CLIA, particularly as they pertain to Biobanking, Consumables Management, ELN/LES, Array Management, Request Management, and Reporting requirements.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
