SalaryEncore at Eastmark is an active adult HOA community located in Mesa, AZ. The 15,000 square-foot clubhouse serves as the social hub for residents, offering social spaces such as classrooms and billiards tables as gathering points. Residents can relax with friends and family in the cafe for food, drinks and various events within the community. We are seeking a part time Cafe Server to join our team. This is a 15-hour workweek commitment.
Primary responsibilities include serving a hot & cold menu for guests in a private HOA community. Daily tasks to include sanitation protocol, dishwashing, taking food orders, & serving guests.
Position Responsibilities:
- Serving food while adhering to Food Safety Standards.
- Basic understanding of alcohol/bartending standards.
- Order taking and cash handling.
- Assist with monthly inventory on all food, alcohol, and paper goods.
- Assist with special community events.
- Café and kitchen cleanup and dishwashing.
- Other related duties as directed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, establishes priorities, and meets deadlines.
- Exceptional organizational and tracking skills.
- Intermediate computer skills utilizing programs and data base system, including Microsoft Office, internet and e-mail system.
- Ability to interact and work positively and effectively with homeowners and staff at all levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively within the department as well as with other departments.
- Ability to work flexible schedule including mid-mornings and lunch shifts, evenings and weekends.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Bending, squatting, lifting up to 30 pounds at a time.
- Dress in a professional manner and may be required to wear a uniform.
Experience
Required- 2 year(s): High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of full time, paid, professional experience working in the food service industry preparing and serving food and maintaining cleanliness standards.
Education
Required- High School or better
