- Timely prepare and file agent licensing, license renewals, appointment, and appointment termination requests with the state departments of insurance. Compile information and submit necessary documents in order to keep agents licensed and appointed.
- Request background reports required as a condition of appointment. Analyze and compare reports to current background criteria.
- Obtain agent statements and present to the Background Review Committee for appointment approval decision when the background report falls outside of current background criteria.
- Direct internal agents on what is needed to initiate and maintain their licenses including: fingerprinting, proof of citizenship, continuing education requirements, and updates of personal background information.
- Build and manage relationships with club licensing contacts, sales consultants, and key business divisions.
- Facilitate third party company appointments by confirming agent training requirements have been met and verifying agents have been approved by management to sell third party company products. Ensure accurate appointment paperwork is completed by agents and sent expediently to third party companies for processing.
- File agent affiliations as required by state laws and regulations.
- Process appointment terminations in accordance with state regulation upon notification by the Clubs, agent request, or non-completion of the Anti-Money Laundering course requirement.
- Maintain records of state and company required annuity training. Collaborate with New Business to confirm agents have completed all required annuity trainings and are compliant.
- Research and analyze agent, business unit, and club licensing issues. Provide problem resolutions as needed. Respond to needs and requests for updates in a timely manner.
- Research and review state insurance laws, regulations and bulletins related to agent licensing to ensure the company and clubs are compliant in all states.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive issues, documents, and agent personal information.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree preferred
- 2 years of administrative experience required to include such skills as data entry, invoicing, typing correspondence, etc.
- 2 years of experience in insurance licensing, compliance or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and Privacy laws preferred.
- Able to sort alphabetically and numerically.
- Strong PC skills with Microsoft Excel and Word experience preferred.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to demonstrate initiative, flexibility, teamwork and operating with a sense of urgency.
- Able to work under limited supervision.
- Able to handle difficult situations with professionalism.
$20-22/hour pay rate DOE
