About the Role:
We are looking for a Licensing and Regulatory Manager to join our legal team in our Operations Service Center. This is a hybrid onsite role in our Phoenix office.
What You'll Do:
- Lead a small team of licensing specialists in navigating the state licensing process.
- Manage, track and maintain all state licenses and registrations including applications, reporting, and renewals and regularly communicating with state agencies and Regulatory bodies.
- Preparing and filing quarterly and annual reports with various regulatory bodies.
- Communicate with outside counsel on a variety of Licensing and registration topics.
- Identify areas to improve process and efficiency.
- Work closely with the Deputy General Counsel to identify areas for improvement in process and efficiency.
- General legal research to assist with legal projects and licensing.
- Assist with gathering necessary responsive documents for regulatory exams.
What We Look For:
- 5+ years of experience with licensing, preferably in the financial services industry or fintech.
- Strong knowledge of the Nationwide Multi-State Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) .
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with team members at all levels and be resourceful, proactive and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong leadership skills
- Attention to detail and strong decision-making abilities.
- Experience working independently and prioritizing tasks.
Nice to Have:
- People management experience
- Registered notary public in Arizona
- Prior in-house legal or compliance experience
- Experience with JIRA, Wrike, or other similar collaborative information solutions
