Licensed Vocational Nurse (Safety) Retired Annuitant

Napa State Hospital Registry Department is currently accepting applications for Retired AnnuitantLicensed Vocational Nurses. We are seeking RA LVN's who are committed to supporting DSH-Napa Registry Pool with duties related to escorting patients to and from on grounds clinics, Family Visitors Center, Community hospital, Program/Unit and Central Staffing Office coverage.
In order to maintain a position in the Registry, all Retired Annuitant employees are required to work Eight 8-hour shifts per calendar month or the equivalent total hours (64 hours) if shifts are more than or less than 8-hours. Four of those shifts or the equivalent total hours if the shifts are more than or less than 8-hours must be weekend shifts scheduled between Friday PM shift and Sunday NOC shift, unless otherwise approved by the CSO Administer. Additionally, the RA must work three (3) major holidays and three (3) high need days per calendar year.
These minimum requirements are based on current operational need and may be subject to change. (Requirements are defined in Registry Guideline). A duty statement and Registry Guidelines are available upon request. Appointment as a Retired Annuitant is subject to California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) rules.
