Licensed Vocational Nurse (Lvn) - Long Beach

P/t Per diem

The LVN will be the nurse onsite to manage client charts and intakes.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Provides Nursing Care to all patients

• Identifies self as nurse responsible for patient care to patients/clients

• Provides nursing care for all patients within scope of LVN practice

• Gathers data relevant to the patient’s individual needs and age group

• Elicits important information concerning the patient’s progress

• Gathers data regarding patient needs while providing direct patient care

• Documents nursing observations according to nursing standards

• Medication observation environment

• Reports symptoms, reactions and progress of patient to the clinical supervisor and/or Nurse Practioner

• Pursues proper chain of command to attain a satisfactory solution

• Initiates changes to improve patient care; discusses changes with doctor when appropriate

• Responsible for knowledge of legal aspects of nursing

• Attends fire and safety classes annually and maintains a current CPR (BLS) card
