Required:
- Any of the following licenses/certifications in the State of Texas (TX):
- Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
- Valid American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
- Valid Regular Driver License (DL)
- Had a TB Test within the past year?
Overview:
- Current Open Shifts: LVN/LPNs
- 40 hours per week; No overtime
- Rotating Schedule
- Shifts: 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Pay:
- We can offer a $1000 bonus for completing the entire contract.
Licensed Vocational Nurse performs various patient care duties under the supervision of the Unit RN and Unit Nurse Manager.
Duties of Agency Nurse:
- Administers medications and treatments orally, rectally, internally, or by injection.
- Performs technical Nursing procedures according to facility and state regulations.
- Documents and reports pertinent observations.
- Communicates pertinent information orally and in writing to other team members.
- Documents according to facility policy.
- Responds to emergencies to ensure the safety of individuals.
- Follows safety and Infection Control Procedures of the facility.
- Monitors individuals for treatments and procedures.
- Provides education to individuals with specific health goals.
- LVN II assists other staff in turning/repositioning individuals to administer treatments.
- Ensures that supplies are available.
- Manages individual's medical records in Electronic Health Records or paper chart.
- Attends work regularly and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime per agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements For All Candidates:
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated computer & electronic health record skills preferred.
- Licensed to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the State of Texas (or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact).
Other:
- No extra time off will be available during the holiday season, including Christmas and New Year's.
- Must have a valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification.
- Must have negative PPD results within the last 12 months.
- COVID-19 testing with negative result required.
- COVID-19 Vaccination Card (if applicable, not mandatory)
- Must be able to pass a urine drug screen successfully and background check.
- Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check.
