Chestnut Ridge Animal Clinic is a well-established small animal veterinary clinic in Central New York. It is privately owned and growing! We are looking for a licensed technician to join our team full or part-time. We have made updates to the clinic and provide compassionate care to our clients and their pets. We are focused on client education and providing quality pet care. We are one of the only remaining privately owned practices in the area. Central NY is beautiful with ample hiking and water activities. Owasco Lake provides an amazing place to swim, boat and fish. There is a small-town feel while having big city amenities a short drive away. We are professional, supportive, and collaborative!

Our growing veterinary practice is seeking an experienced, dependable, and qualified Veterinary Technician. Duties include assisting the veterinarian during patient exams, administering anesthesia, running technician appointments, managing orders & inventory as well as other typical technician tasks. The successful candidate will be prepared to work with dogs & cats of all sizes and will have completed a certified Veterinary Technician program.

• Perform routine and emergency care for pets, such as administering vaccinations and other medications, cleaning animal wounds, and assisting with surgery.
• Keep client records up-to-date and make sure all relevant parties involved with a pet's care are informed about its status.
• Know when to call in a veterinarian for advice or treatment;.
• Interact with clients and their pets in ways that build trust and confidence in the client-caregiver relationship.
• Manage ordering and inventory
