Job Description:
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Provide therapy to clients while maintaining good clinical judgement. This position works with a diverse clientele via in-person and telehealth appointments.
Therapists are required to complete all clinical documentation, initial intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and internal referrals. In addition, therapists must utilize evidenced-based treatment models, and attend and participate in weekly staffing with our multidisciplinary team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clinical Documentation
- Care plans reviewed and updated.
- Progress notes completed within current agency guidelines.
- Responds to supervisory request for urgent care situations and coverage for vacant caseloads. This includes telephones and face to face intervention.
- Keeps administrative supervisor informed of all potential issues that could impact the program or the organization.
- Responds to needs of consumers in a timely and professional manner.
- Demonstrates good clinical judgment in decision making regarding consumers.
- Attend and participate in weekly staffing with our multidisciplinary team.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to successfully utilize computer/electronic equipment and software
- Must be comfortable working with adult clients of all ages, sexes, genders, orientations, intellectual abilities, races, and ethnicities.
- Must also be competent in evidenced base practices, and willing to work with clients with co-occurring disorders, including alcohol and substance use disorders.
- Must be knowledgeable of DSM 5 TR diagnostic criteria, utilize evidenced-based treatment models
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Level
- This position requires a Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Mental Health, or related field.
- Other Master's level degrees may be considered to provide psychotherapy services based on a review of transcripts.
- For degrees other than Counseling, Social Work or Psychology, successful applicants must have passed a minimum of 24 graduate level semester hours in psychology, social work, counseling or other behavioral health related classes. For consideration, please include transcripts (unofficial is acceptable) along with your resume.
Years of Experience
Experience preferred.
Certification/Licensure
Must have LCSW, LPC-MHSP or LMFT-MHSP license.
