We are looking for committed, compassionate and positive educators who are ready to make a difference for Blachly students. Applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received and according to the current needs and requirements of the District.

Blachly School District may consider applicants if the candidate holds an active Oregon Substitute Teaching License issued by TSPC. Candidates in the Substitute Teacher Pool are not guaranteed employment. The primary role of a Licensed Substitute Teacher is to continue student learning along the continuum as established by the absent regular teacher. The responsibilities of the Licensed Substitute Teacher in the classroom may include, but are not limited to the following:Lesson planning;Teaching students;Managing the classroom;Performing administrative tasks;Promoting positive student behavior;Ensuring the safety and security of the students.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESExperience differentiating practices for diverse populations;Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse students, parents, school district staff and community populations;Effective communication skills;Ability to be flexible and work a varied schedule;Ability and commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate a respect for diversity, equity and inclusion. WORKPLACE EXPECTATIONSThe employee is dressed and groomed in a neat, clean and appropriate professional manner for the assignment and work setting.The employee maintains the integrity of confidential information relating to a student, family, colleague or district patron.

The employee uses or relays personal information only in the course of performing assigned responsibilities and in the best interest of the individuals involved.The employee follows all district or supervisor policies, rules, regulations, memos, bulleting, announcements, applicable position descriptions, and reasonable requests by proper authority.The employee demonstrates appropriate judgment and professional behavior at all times.All licensed employees will meet the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) Standards for Competent and Ethical Educators and District Standards for Performance.
