As a Project Architect at DLR Group, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project document development and coordinating with all project team members to maintain the quality of the work product within the established project schedule for mid-to-large and complex projects. As part of our integrated design team, you’ll create buildings that elevate the human experience through design.

Position Summary:
You will partner directly with the Project Manager to ensure the financial health of the project, the quality of project documents, claim prevention, team collaboration and communication. Additionally, you will lead the cross-functional design disciplines in developing technical solutions.
The successful candidate will:
- Understand and be able to coordinate and lead the design disciplines in developing technical solutions.
- Provide positive and constructive mentorship to other team members.
- Have knowledge of professional practice from schematic design through project close-out.
- Be able to work and present ideas in a team environment, as well as self-manage and self-motivate in a creative environment.
- Possess technical proficiency in the production of design and construction.
- Have strong design aptitude, organizational skills, and outstanding communication skills to effectively collaborate with others.
- Lead project teams in adherence to all practice standards.
- Lead technical development of projects.
- Work directly with Project Managers and Designers to develop conceptual design and provide complete design support throughout a project.
- Participate in and facilitate client meetings, clearly communicate project status, and build successful client relationships.
- Lead client meetings and presentations.
Required Qualifications:
- Professional License / Registered Architect in New York.
- Five or more years of experience.
- Experience in leading mid-to-large and complex projects through all phases of design.
- Bachelor’s and/or Master of Architecture from an accredited program preferred.
- Proficiency in the use of REVIT and CAD computer modeling and rendering software.
- Ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks.
- Technical experience in leading construction administration efforts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- LEED Accreditation.
- Experience in the use of Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-Up, Microsoft Office Suite, and other design software.
- K-12 project experience.
- Knowledge of New York City and State Codes, New York City School Construction Authority (SCA) standards and experience on SCA projects.

The potential pay range for this role is $80,000 - $105,000.
