Job Summary
A Clinic LPN in CoxHealth Pediatrics cares for pediatrics patients in a clinical setting. A Clinic LPN performs administrative duties that might include, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in medical records under the direct supervision of a supervisor or provider. Clinical duties will include measuring and recording vital signs, collecting demographics or medical information including review of medication list, preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms and equipment and stocking supplies. This position will involve the administration of medications.

Education
Required: Graduate of an accredited License Practical Nursing program
Experience
Required: None
Preferred: Previous nursing experience in healthcare, particularly in an ambulatory clinic setting
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
Carry out delegated tasks independently or with provider oversite
Proficient Computer skills
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Required: License Practical Nurse active in the state of Missouri
Must obtain American Heart Association BLS within 90 days of hire
Preferred: IV certification in State of Missouri
Medical Assistant III
Job Summary
A Medical Assistant III for CoxHealth Pediatric Place assists with providing physical, emotional and social health care to children from birth to young adulthood. A MA III performs administrative duties that might include, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in a medical records under the direct supervision of a supervisor or provider. Clinical duties will include measuring and recording vital signs, labs, collecting demographics or medical information including review of medication list, preparing patients for examination, assist provider with office procedures, referrals, knowledge of VFC coordinator, pharmacy, insurance ordering in the event of the LPN’s absence, vaccine temperature logs, cleaning rooms and equipment and stocking supplies. This position will involve the administration of medications and vaccinations.
Job Requirements
Education
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Required effective 9/1/20: Graduated from a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, the basics of medication administration, and completion of a clinical externship.
Experience
Required: None
Preferred: Previous experience in work that involved direct contact with people
Preferred: Previous experience in health care setting, particularly in an ambulatory clinic setting
