Licensed Practical Nurse

GLC Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Sterling CO

Start date: 2 weeks after acceptance

Length: 13 weeks

36 Guaranteed hours weekly

Travel Pay: $19 HR/ $45 OT/ $1000 Stipend= $1684 weekly based on 36 hours

LTC experience

1 yr recent experience

Active AHA BLS

Active LPN CO license or LPN compact license

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
- Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques.
- Perform IV infusions and insert intravenous lines.
- Conduct primary care procedures such as wound care, catheter care, and dermal filler injections.
- Utilize Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems for documentation.
- Assist in ophthalmology procedures and eye care treatments.
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results for patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Manage durable medical equipment (DME) and educate patients on proper usage.

Skills:
- Proficient in IV insertion techniques for medication administration.
- Skilled in pain management strategies to ensure patient comfort.
- Experience in primary care practices including wound care and catheter maintenance.
- Familiarity with Athenahealth or other electronic health record systems for accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of ophthalmology procedures and eye care treatments.
- Ability to perform laboratory tests and interpret results for patient assessment.
- Competent in managing durable medical equipment (DME) for patient care needs.
